Next Steps Class
THE NEXT STEP
Take the Next Step
Next Steps Class is a three-week environment for anyone who is new to Restoration Church, who wants to discover more about how they can get involved, or is looking to get connected with the right community.
For three consecutive sessions, we’ll provide an opportunity for you to connect with others as we talk about how to:
Follow. Discover. Participate.
Your Next Step.
Wherever you are in life, you matter and you have a purpose. Your journey has a next step, and we’ll help you find it. We want to help you become the person God has created you to be. It could start with serving, finding God’s vision for your life, giving, or joining us regularly.
You don’t have to take the next step alone. With a strong community of friends, you can laugh, grow, and serve with people who genuinely care about you.
How it all got started.
Almost 10 years ago, God gave Pastor Ricky Morris a burden for Franklin, Kentucky after a church that was here closed, and the building was sold. After sharing the vision with Pastor David & DeAnna Crawford with much prayer and fasting, they felt a burning desire to plant a church in Franklin, Kentucky. As you hear their story you will understand that it is no accident that we are calling it Restoration Church.
How we gather together has changed, but our calling has not. We are still on mission, we are still commanded to make disciples. We are called to love our neighbor and give of our time and resources. We are still the body of Christ, called to be a light to the world, a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. Today, in the midst of fear, let us stand on the power of our risen Savior and answer our calling!
We have been called to reach those who declared they would never step foot in a church and those who said they would never go back. Simpson County Needs a Spirit-filled church! There’s nothing more important we can do together than to help other people see God as he really is, so they can experience the depth of his love and grace for them.
Our Heart for Restoration Church is to passionately love God and intentionally love people.
Restoration will be a place where people regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey can come and experience a loving community that will point them to Christ. A community that will allow them to encounter the presence of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our dream has been to see a life-giving church planted in Franklin, Kentucky that was centered around the presence of Jesus, the very presence that has saved, healed, and restored our lives.
Jesus at the center. Our heart has always been to plant a church centered around the things that Jesus is passionate about…which is to make disciples, heal the sick, and restore broken see lives transformed by the power of God’s love.
In Matthew 22:37-39, Jesus replied, ‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Whether you’re new to church, have been a Christian for many years, or are looking for a fresh start, you’re welcome here. Our hope is to give you a place where you experience a fresh, enjoyable connection to God and a community of people.
We keep our focus simple so we can have the biggest impact possible. Everything we do as a church is filtered through our focus on helping every person live the full life for which God created all of us.
Where we are headed.
We desire to be a church where worship is contagious, corporate, authentic expression of the love we have for God. A worship atmosphere that invites people into a genuine encounter with God and where worship brings people to a place of being humbled and undone in the presence of God.
A community where people can feel belonging before having to behave a certain way. A church with outrageous hospitality from the parking lot to the platform. A diverse church is one that is a reflection of the Kingdom of Heaven. We are a diverse church because we embrace generational, racial and cultural diversity.
Whether it’s through benevolence or through the support of local and global charities, we are a church community that focuses on the spiritual, financial, mental, and physical needs of others.
God has given us a burden for the next generation. We long to see a church where children and students are actively pursuing and involved in fulfilling the mission of Jesus. Simply put, we want our children to know God and become like God.
